Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)

AA uses one of our parish meeting rooms on a regular basis, Sunday evenings at 7.15pm, on Monday evenings at 7.30pm, Tuesdays at 6.30pm, Wednesday & Thursday at 8.00pm and also at Thursday lunchtime from 1.00pm and on Saturdays from 11.00 a.m. onwards. If you have a drinking problem and want help, you will be very welcome.  Alcoholics Anonymous

ASDC  (Association of Separated and Divorced Catholics)

ASDC is committed to co-operation with the Church and aims to give spiritual and practical support to separated and divorced Catholics helping members to come to terms with being on their own and to gain confidence to face the world again. The local group is based at St. Augustine's and meets every third Thursday of the month at 8.00 pm in Meeting Room 3. All are welcome even if you are just going through a difficult period in your marriage. We support each other and are grateful, for that non-judgemental support through good times and bad. Our members come from four Catholic parishes.

Domestic Violence

The Church rejects as an inexcusable evil, violence of any kind on women by men or vice versa. Call the Domestic Violence helpline on which is a 24 hour service. 01892 570538.

Alternatively, call the Women's Aid National Helpline on 0808 2000 247. This is a Free phone 24 hr service, National Domestic Violence Helpline run in partnership between Women's Aid & Refuge.

Is a spiritual support group for homosexual Catholics wishing to live according to the teaching of the Catholic Church. It meets regularly and offers confidential group and personal support. Write to P.O. Box 3745, London N2 8LW.  EnCourage
