24 Hours for the Lord

24 HOURS FOR THE LORD DURING THE JUBILEE YEAR OF MERCY

Starts 7.30pm

On the 4th of March 2016, Catholics across the world will unite in prayer and Adoration in response to a call from Pope Francis. We at St. Augustine's will begin the 24 hours for the Lord with Mass at 7.30pm on 4th March and then continue throughout the night and all day Saturday, with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament,Reconciliation, prayers, readings, silent and communal support for each other as we take part in this universal act of worship and praise to the greater glory of God. Pope Francis has asked that Reconciliation will be available during the 24 hours and it will be available on  Friday evening and on Saturday for people to attend. Further details to be  confirmed in a few weeks time.

We had a tremendous response last year and hope to achieve an even better response during this Year of Mercy. We need parishioners to volunteer to be actively involved even for just one hour throughout the entire 24 hours. There will be sheets in the Narthex to volunteer. Thank you from the Evangelisation Team
